Volkswagen’s new generation T-Roc, which is still being prepared, was caught by the lenses during test drives in Germany. The lightly camouflaged photos taken largely revealed the design details of the vehicle.
The new generation Volkswagen T-Roc is coming to us
Spy photos of the second generation Volkswagen T-Roc show that the brand preferred to develop its current design language rather than make a radical change in this model. The 2026 model T-Roc maintains its familiar silhouette with its sloping rear window.

The vehicle’s wheel arches have widened a little. It is noteworthy that a more modern appearance inspired by the Golf 8 has been adopted in the front section. These updates give the T-Roc a more dynamic and contemporary stance.
Although there is no interior image in the photos, it is stated that inspirations from the Golf 8 will also be evident in the interior design. In particular, the expectation that a large 12.9-inch touch screen will be included in the new T-Roc is high.
The new T-Roc also offers a wide range of engine options. The current 1.5 and 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engines and the 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine will continue to be available in the model. For performance enthusiasts, the T-Roc R model with over 300 horsepower is expected to arrive.
There will also be 1.5-liter hybrid versions in the engine range. The details of the full hybrid have not yet been clarified, but it is known that the plug-in hybrid version will have 204 horsepower. As an important change, the convertible version of the Volkswagen T-Roc will no longer be produced.
With the launch of the new generation T-Roc, it is expected to further intensify the competition in the compact SUV segment with both its design and the engine options it offers. The official introduction in August will reveal all the details of the model.
