The introduction of MediaTek’s new flagship processor, Dimensity 9500, may happen earlier than expected. According to the latest information, MediaTek plans to announce its next-generation chipset at the end of September.
Dimensity 9500 may come earlier than expected
Last year, Dimensity 9400 was introduced right after Snapdragon 8 Elite at the beginning of November. However, this year the picture is changing. Qualcomm’s new generation chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to be introduced at Snapdragon Summit event to be held between September 23-25. MediaTek is also expected to announce Dimensity 9500 in parallel with these dates.

The technical details leaked about Dimensity 9500 show that MediaTek has a serious claim regarding performance and efficiency. It is stated that the processor will be produced with TSMC’s 3-nanometer advanced manufacturing technology N3P process.
Its architectural structure consists entirely of large cores. According to leaked information, the core structure consists of 1 Travis, 3 Alto and 4 Gelas cores. It is stated that Travis and Alto belong to ARM’s upcoming X9 generation and support the Scalable Matrix Extension (SME) technology developed to increase multi-thread performance.
On the graphics side, it is stated that Dimensity 9500 will come with Immortalis Drage GPU. This graphics processor can offer high-level results in terms of both performance and energy efficiency. There are expectations that the GPU will provide high frame rates and improved visual quality, especially in gaming and graphics-intensive applications.
