Apple is making significant changes in terms of design and hardware in the 2025 model of the iPad Pro series. The frames of the new model in the company’s tablet series, which appeals to professional users, are the thinnest to date.
iPad Pro 2025 offers important features
This change offers a more frameless experience in the overall appearance of the device, while providing additional space for the battery in the internal volume. Thus, Apple is preparing to introduce the iPad Pro model that has reached the longest usage time in the series to date.

The display technology to be used in the new model is also changing. Apple is turning to LG Innotek’s Chip-on-Film (CoF) technology, which integrates display driver chips to the edges of the panel via a flexible film.
The supply of these components will be provided by South Korea-based LX Semicon. It is known that the company preferred the Samsung System LSI solution in previous models. With the new supplier, Apple aims to diversify its supply chain and reduce costs by creating alternatives in the production process.
It is not yet clear whether the new display driver chip will be approved by Apple this month. Following the decision, it is expected that the components will go into mass production and the assembly process will begin.
The thinning of the frames, the increase in battery capacity and the change in display driver technology are among the most striking innovations on the hardware side of the 2025 iPad Pro so far.
After the M4 iPad Pro introduced in 2024, the 2025 model is expected to come with the M5 chipset. Although information about the development process of the device has not been confirmed, it has been stated that preparations for mass production are ongoing. There is no concrete information about the introduction date of the new model, but it is expected that the details will be clear in the coming weeks.
