LG has launched its new product in the portable display category, the StanbyME 2, globally. The new version, a successor to the first StanbyME model released two years ago, stands out with its design and hardware features.
LG introduces its 27-inch portable monitor.
The device’s screen can be attached and detached from the stand with a single touch. This system allows the display to be used on a desktop, wall-mounted, or switched between portrait and landscape modes. The integrated hanging strap allows the display to be hung like a wall clock. It can also serve as an ambient display.

The monitor is 27 inches and has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It offers a 60Hz refresh rate. Powered by LG’s α8 AI processor, the display automatically adjusts brightness and tone by detecting ambient light. The audio output comes with Dolby Atmos support. The device’s speakers are 10W and equipped with the AI Sound Pro system, which delivers virtual 9.1.2 surround sound. The speakers are located on the sides of the screen.
The StanbyME 2 is powered by a built-in battery that provides up to 4 hours of use. Charging is possible via the dock on the stand or via a USB-C cable. The device runs LG’s webOS 24 operating system. The monitor supports hands-free voice commands and is compatible with Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, LG ThinQ, and Google Home.
Connectivity options include an HDMI input with eARC support, two USB 2.0 ports, one 5V USB port, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 5. The device also features a dedicated control panel called Game Optimizer for gamers.
The monitor weighs 4.3 kilograms without the stand. Its dimensions are 623 x 364 x 28.5 millimeters. With the stand, the total weight increases to 15.2 kilograms. The box includes a mini remote control and a detachable power cable.
The LG StanbyME 2 is priced at $1,400. It is stated that the product will also be available in Turkey.
