Samsung is rapidly continuing the testing phase of its One UI 8 update. Although the company showcased this interface on its next-generation foldable phones during the Galaxy Unpacked event held on July 9, the new version has not yet been widely rolled out to users. According to recent developments, the South Korean tech giant has also begun testing One UI 8 on two mid-range models.
One UI 8 Testing Begins for Galaxy A33 and A53
Samsung has initiated the One UI 8 update process for the Galaxy A33 and A53 models. The company has started testing the Android 16-based One UI 8 interface on these devices, suggesting that the stable version might arrive soon.

The One UI 8 test builds for the Galaxy A53 and A33 carry the version numbers A536BXXUGGYG1 and A336BXXUDGYG1, respectively.
It is still unclear when Samsung will release the update for all users. However, the fact that the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE — introduced on July 9 — come pre-installed with this version suggests that a broader rollout is just around the corner. This means users likely won’t have to wait much longer to get the update.
