New information has emerged regarding the Galaxy Z TriFold, Samsung’s tri-folding phone, which it plans to unveil at the end of the year. Codes found in the company’s Android 16-based One UI 8 software reveal that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This chipset is also used in the recently unveiled Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The Galaxy Z TriFold’s design is as striking as its hardware. Previous leaks suggested the device would have a 10-inch internal display when fully opened, along with a cover display. Unlike traditional foldable phones, the device features a three-piece hinge, setting it apart from Samsung’s previous releases.

Pricing information has also been released. The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to retail for approximately 4 million won in South Korea. This figure equates to approximately $2,873, or 2,469 euros, at current exchange rates. This price range clearly demonstrates that the device was developed with a premium, limited-edition approach.
It’s not yet known whether the Galaxy Z TriFold will be available globally. Initially planned for release only in South Korea and China, the model will reportedly hit shelves in limited production. Samsung is positioning this model primarily for tech enthusiasts and users who prefer experimental products.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will be Samsung’s first tri-fold phone, representing the cutting edge of foldable display technology. The device’s launch will clarify how the new foldable form factor will be received in the mobile device market.
