Netflix has released its global viewership report for the first six months of 2025. According to the data, the platform’s most-watched production was a miniseries consisting of just four episodes. “Adolescence” topped the list, reaching 145 million views in the first half of the year.

Adolescence, with an IMDb rating of 8.2, tells the story of a young boy facing a dark accusation. The story follows a 13-year-old accused of murdering his classmate. Noted for its short runtime and striking narrative, the series has become a top miniseries.

Adolescence was followed by another global success, Squid Game. Second on the list was the second season with 117 million views. Third was the third season of Squid Game with 72 million views. The Korean series continues to captivate viewers with its dramatic plot and fast-paced narrative.
Coming in fourth place, Zero Day was another notable miniseries on the list with 61 million views. The six-episode series stars Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, and Lizzy Caplan. The political thriller quickly gained a large audience.
Among Netflix’s most-watched series of the first half of 2025, “Missing You” ranked fifth with 58 million views, while “American Murder: Gabby Petito” came in sixth with 56 million views. This was followed by “Ms. Rachel” (53 million), “Sirens” (53 million), the second season of “The Night Agent” (53 million), and the third season of “Ginny & Georgia” (48 million).
Adolescence became one of the year’s standout digital content titles, both for its plot and its rapid viewing figures. Netflix’s current report further demonstrates that interest in miniseries continues to grow.
