The app allows you to apply VSCO’s 50+ iconic filters to your photos live before you even press the shutter. This allows you to instantly see the results and easily capture the perfect shot.
What does VSCO Capture offer?
VSCO states that it designed this app for all photography enthusiasts who don’t want to deal with complicated editing processes but are looking for more creative control and emotion in their photos. Some of the app’s key features include:
- Live Filter Preview: Choose from over 50 VSCO filters and adjust the filter intensity before taking a shot.
- Advanced Effects: In Auto mode, two special effects add a unique touch to your photos:
- Bloom: Creates a dreamy, hazy effect by softening bright areas of the frame.
- Halation: Creates a subtle glow, particularly around light sources, like those seen in vintage films. The intensity and color tone of these effects can be adjusted to your liking.
The app appeals not only to amateurs but also to professionals. Depending on your iPhone model, you can shoot in RAW and ProRAW up to 48MP, as well as JPEG and HEIC. There’s also the option to simultaneously save both the filtered creative version and the original RAW copy.
You can save your photos directly to your phone’s camera roll or store them in a dedicated gallery within the app for later editing. From there, you can easily import your photos into the main VSCO app for further editing.
