Just as buzz around the Redmi 15C 4G began to pick up, a new contender has stepped into the spotlight — the Redmi 15 5G. This upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi’s sub-brand appears ready to challenge much more expensive rivals with its ambitious specs.
Redmi 15 5G features revealed
Sources suggest the device will boast an expansive 6.9-inch display with a sharp 1080p+ resolution and a silky-smooth 144Hz refresh rate — a big leap over the 720p+ and 120Hz panels found on previous Redmi models. This marks a clear shift toward delivering a more premium visual experience in the budget segment.

Fueling the Redmi 15 5G is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, a reliable chip that’s paired with up to 8GB of RAM and as much as 256GB of internal storage. It’s a setup that promises smooth multitasking and ample room for apps, games, and media.
Battery life looks to be another strong suit, with the phone reportedly packing a hefty 7,000mAh battery. Charging won’t be sluggish either, thanks to 33W fast charge support. Photography will be handled by a 50MP primary rear camera, supported by a 2MP secondary sensor, while selfies and video calls will rely on an 8MP front camera.
Although pricing hasn’t been officially confirmed, early whispers point to a launch price in the range of $165 to $180. As for the release date, Xiaomi has yet to make any announcements — but with the Redmi 15C 4G already on the horizon, the 5G version might not be far behind.
