This functionality allows users to remotely control the Camera app and issue commands directly from the earbuds to start taking photos or recording videos. For those who prefer to listen to music while sleeping, the automatic audio pause feature is an improvement that directly impacts AirPods usage habits. After logging in with your Apple account, the device is included in the beta program and the iOS 26 public beta is installed. Then, in the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings, tap the information icon next to the AirPods to open the “AirPods Settings” menu. This will reveal the “AirPods Beta Updates” option, and the user can activate the beta updates from there.
