11 Bit Studios has announced the release date of Frostpunk 2 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles as September 18, 2025. Like the PC version, the game will be available in the Game Pass library for console players on the same day it launches.
Frostpunk 2 Coming to Consoles on September 18
The new trailer for Frostpunk 2’s console release was, curiously, later made private by the studio. This suggests that the video was shared by mistake and that the game’s console release date was announced earlier than planned.
Players shared the video on various platforms before it was made private, eliminating any doubts about the issue.
According to the game’s previously shared roadmap, two more downloadable content (DLC) items are planned for release this year. A third, as yet unnamed, DLC will be released in 2026.
Frostpunk 2 first launched on PC last September and received positive feedback.
