Filming has begun on the fourth installment of the Spider-Man series, starring Tom Holland. The new film, titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, hit the set this week after a long delay.
Spider-Man 4 is coming soon
Tom Holland is joined by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon in this sequel. The trio reunite with the characters they played in previous films. However, Zendaya and Batalon are reportedly in more limited roles this time around.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day won’t solely focus on Spider-Man. According to details released so far, the film will also feature other heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will meet in the same universe as Spider-Man in this installment. No official announcement has been made regarding how these two characters will be integrated into the story, but the film’s multi-hero narrative is prominent.
This time, Destin Daniel Cretton takes the director’s chair, replacing Jon Watts. Cretton previously helmed Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. With Cretton joining the project, it’s being speculated that the narrative and visual style will shift significantly from previous films.
The new film also adds two notable actors to its cast. Sadie Sink, known for her work on Stranger Things, and Liza Colon-Zayas from The Bear are among the new additions to the series. The characters they will portray have not yet been announced.
The release date for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been announced as July 31, 2026. The first teaser trailer for the film confirmed the official start of filming and has been met with considerable interest from Marvel fans. The film is being considered a project that will usher in a new chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
