Samsung continues to keep all its devices, from smartphones to smartwatches, updated and maintain its market position. At its Unpacked event held last week, the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip devices, as well as the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, were featured. A few weeks after the event, the first software update for the new watches has been released. Here are the details.
Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic Receive First Update
The first update for the new smartwatches, which have been highly acclaimed by users, has been released. The release was made available to users quickly and aims to fix a few minor bugs. The update, released with software version AYG4 for the Galaxy Watch 8 series, has a file size of 164MB, while an update has also been released for the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The update, which comes with software version BYG4, has a file size of approximately 158MB.

The update, currently released for South Korea, is planned to be released for other countries in the coming days. It was announced that the update does not include the August 2025 security patch, but only fixes bugs and offers performance improvements.
