Range Rover’s new all-electric mid-size SUV will hit the roads in early 2026. Built on the EMA platform, the vehicle features a distinct design approach that distinguishes it from the brand’s previous offerings. The first images published by the British press provide a clear idea of the vehicle’s design lines.
Range Rover is coming with an electric SUV
The model, which has been caught on camera during various test drives for a long time, retains the characteristic details of the Range Rover family but has a distinct identity overall. The new SUV, notable for its distinct design from current models, will be approximately 4.8 meters long.

With this size, the vehicle is positioned in a segment very similar to the currently produced Range Rover Velar. However, it has become clear that it will not replace the Velar but will be positioned as a fully independent model.
Images from test prototypes show that the new electric SUV has a lower roofline and thinner windows than the Velar. These details give the vehicle a sportier and more stylish silhouette. In terms of design, it stands out not as a one-to-one derivative of the Velar, but as a model with its own unique style.
The model, which also stands out in terms of its technological infrastructure, will inherit many key components from the flagship electric Range Rover, which will be released around the same time. These components include an electric drive system, battery technology, an advanced thermal management system, and software solutions.
In addition to a large 118 kWh battery option, the model will also be available in 100 kWh and 80 kWh capacities. These battery options, with their thermal management systems, will offer a range of between 480 and 650 kilometers.
The new electric SUV stands out as part of the brand’s future-oriented transformation. As one of the first representatives of the EMA platform, the vehicle will play a key role in Range Rover’s efforts in electric mobility.
