Google has introduced its next-generation smartphones, the Pixel 10 series. While these devices offer significant hardware improvements, their true power comes from their AI-based capabilities. All phones in the series come with the Tensor G5, Google’s most powerful processor yet.
The Pixel 10 series stands out with its AI
Designed in collaboration with the Google DeepMind team, this chip is the first to power the latest Gemini Nano. The power of Tensor G5 and Gemini Nano enables many sophisticated and productive AI features in the new Pixel devices that will simplify daily life.

Magic Cue combines data from apps like Gmail, Calendar, and Messages to proactively surface relevant information and suggest helpful actions. For example, if a friend asks when your flight will land, Magic Cue pulls information from your itinerary and suggests sharing it in the Messages app with a single tap.
This feature operates securely and privately thanks to the combination of Tensor G5 and Gemini Nano. Users control which data is accessed. In conjunction with Magic Cue, the Daily Hub feature, accessible from the Discovery feed, offers a personalized summary showing events from your calendar, topics of interest, and recommended playlists.
Voice Translate eliminates language barriers during phone calls. On-device AI, using Tensor G5, translates your conversation in real time, mimicking each speaker’s voice. This feature translates from English into Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian, and Indonesian.
The “Take Notes” feature in the Call Screen app provides real-time transcripts of missed or rejected calls. This feature also uses AI to determine next steps based on the message’s content. Furthermore, NotebookLM, the AI-powered research assistant, now integrates with Pixel Screenshots and Recorder.
Pixel Journal, Google’s answer to Apple’s Diary app, uses on-device AI models to guide users through journal entries. The app also offers writing suggestions based on memories, past entries, or goals.
It’s possible to add mood, photos, locations, and events to the diary. The app learns patterns based on the user’s writing habits and provides different information. The app can be locked to prevent others from accessing it.
The Pixel 10 series comes with the Camera Coach feature, which guides users to take the best photo. Whether you’re taking a selfie or capturing a landscape, this feature understands what you’re trying to do and offers suggestions in real time. With Gemini features, the phone quickly scans the scene and offers recommendations for framing, camera mode, and other settings.
Google has continued to make improvements to Gemini Live since the Pixel 9 series. With the Pixel 10, Gemini Live offers more visual support. When the user opens the camera, Gemini not only understands what you see but also guides you by highlighting solutions directly on the screen.
Gemini Live also offers improvements in intonation, rhythm, and pitch, providing a more human-like conversational experience. It can speak slower or faster, and even correct accents, as desired.
