As global competition in artificial intelligence intensifies, Saudi Arabia-based technology startup HUMAIN has attracted attention with its new chatbot centered on cultural and religious values. The company has launched “HUMAIN Chat,” a platform aligned with Islamic values, developed as a competitor to the popular AI tool ChatGPT.
AI: HUMAIN
HUMAIN Chat’s most distinctive feature is its technological infrastructure, featuring a system called ALLAM 34B, considered the world’s most advanced Arabic AI model. This allows the platform to generate more accurate, culturally relevant, and Islamic-integrated responses, particularly for Arabic-speaking users and Muslims.
The company’s statement emphasized the project’s mission: “HUMAIN Chat was developed specifically for the more than 400 million Arabic speakers and 2 billion Muslims worldwide, who have long been undersupported by generative AI. For the first time, people will have the opportunity to learn, create, and connect in their own language, within their own culture, and context.”
HUMAIN Chat, which also features online search capabilities, is currently available in Arabic and English. Users can access the platform through its website and mobile apps developed for iOS and Android.
The technological strength behind the HUMAIN initiative was previously highlighted by a deal with Nvidia. The tech giant announced that it would provide 18,000 high-performance AI GPUs to the state-backed HUMAIN. This investment is considered an indication of the project’s ambitious scope.
The platform is initially available only to users in Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand globally in the near future.
