vivo Y500 to Launch on September 1
The vivo Y500, set to be unveiled on September 1, will feature a massive 8,200 mAh battery. This is a significant capacity increase from the 6,000 mAh unit in the previous model. The company also announced that the phone will have IP69+/IP69/IP68 water and dust resistance certifications. It also holds an SGS Gold label five-star certification for drop and impact resistance.

While vivo has not yet revealed the phone’s other features, the official Chinese website showed the color options for the Y500. The device will be available in three colors: light blue, black, and purple.
According to previous reports, the vivo Y500 is expected to feature a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen is also rumored to offer a peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
The phone is reported to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and have a 50 MP main camera on the rear. Other claims include that the device will run on Origin OS 5 based on Android 15, have an 8 MP front camera, and support 90W fast charging.
