Another tri-fold phone is coming from Huawei

Huawei has announced the release date for its second-generation tri-fold phone, the Mate XTs. So, when will the foldable phone be unveiled?

Huawei is gearing up to introduce its second-generation triple-foldable phone, the Mate XTs, on September 4. The new device will succeed last year’s Mate XT.

Richard Yu, one of Huawei’s top executives, shared a short teaser video of the upcoming foldable. In the clip, Yu can be seen using a stylus on the phone’s main display. Another highlight from the video is the device’s white color option with gold accents, giving it a more premium look. In terms of size, it seems to remain in the same category as its predecessor.

According to previous leaks, the Mate XTs will feature an upgraded processor compared to the original model. It is expected to run on the Kirin 9020 chipset with satellite connectivity support. On the camera side, it will reportedly include a 50MP main sensor with variable aperture and an improved periscope telephoto lens.

No major changes are anticipated for the display or battery capacity. Pricing in China is expected to remain the same as its predecessor, around 20,000 yuan (approximately $2,800).
