Samsung’s new Exynos 2600 processor has narrowed the gap with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The South Korean brand tested the chipset in a prototype device and achieved nearly identical performance results to its Snapdragon counterpart. This suggests the Exynos 2600 will no longer be a weaker option in the Galaxy S26 series.
On paper, the Exynos 2600 will offer similar performance to the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2
Jukanlosreve, known for his leaks, shared the Geekbench performance test results of the Samsung Exynos 2600. The processor scored 3309 in the single-core test and 11256 in the multi-core test. It’s known that Samsung is using a prototype device, so performance is expected to improve further in end-user models.

The Exynos 2600 processor has 10 CPU cores, like the previous Exynos 2400 and 2500. The primary core operates at 3.8 GHz, the other three cores at 3.26 GHz, and the remaining six at 2.76 GHz.
A device purportedly running the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor was also tested. This device achieved a single-core score of 3393 and a multi-core score of 11515. Qualcomm will unveil this product next month, so there won’t be as many dramatic differences as in the past.
Samsung has invested heavily in Exynos, but has struggled to keep up with Snapdragon. It even abandoned the Exynos 2500 in this year’s flagship models due to efficiency and productivity issues. However, the company is betting all its resources on the Exynos 2600 for the S26 series. Recent developments suggest the company’s efforts are finally paying off.
