Google’s new flagship phone, the Pixel 10 Pro XL, has successfully passed durability testing. Following its launch, highly anticipated durability tests demonstrated that the device met expectations.
Google Pixel 10 Pro XL Durability Test
The owner of the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything conducted a series of tests to test the phone’s durability. He first attempted to scratch the screen, edges, and back with a screwdriver. Following this, he subjected the phone to a heat test with a lighter.
Shiftdelete.netDespite the prolonged exposure to direct heat, the screen remained functional. The fingerprint sensor also experienced no loss of functionality. Finally, the Pixel 10 Pro XL successfully completed the bend test without any deformation.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL, unveiled on August 20, 2025, is powered by Google’s in-house developed Tensor G5 processor. This processor is also used in the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the new foldable phone, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The phone features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display. It offers a resolution of 1344 x 2992 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a pixel density of 486 PPI. The screen’s durability is ensured by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 technology. The device also features an under-display fingerprint sensor.
The phone comes with 16GB of RAM and three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The 5200mAh battery capacity supports 45W fast charging.
The camera also boasts impressive specifications. The rear camera features a triple camera setup: a 50-megapixel (f/1.68) main camera, a 48-megapixel (f/1.7) ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel (f/2.8) telephoto camera. The front camera has a 42-megapixel (f/2.2) camera. The rear cameras can record 8K, 4K, and 1080p video, while the front camera supports 4K and 1080p resolutions.
The phone, which runs Android 16, offers a 7-year update guarantee. Weighing 232 grams, the device is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
