Honor, a pioneer in the Android market, will be challenging its rivals with the camera features of the Magic 8 Pro, which it is preparing to unveil at its upcoming event. Today, Honor Product Line President Fang Fei confirmed that the new device will feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Here are the details.
Honor Magic 8 Pro: Camera and Processor Details
In a post on his Weibo account, Honor Product Line President Fang Fei stated that the next-generation Magic series phone will be capable of taking stunning shots not only with its main camera but also with its 200-megapixel telephoto lens, even during twilight, also known as “blue hour.”

This announcement comes on the heels of rumors that the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro will also feature 200-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras. However, the Magic 8 Pro’s biggest advantage is that it’s expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (Snapdragon 8 Elite 2) chipset instead of the Dimensity 9500 chip. This makes the Magic 8 Pro an attractive option for users who prefer Qualcomm chipsets.
The company’s product manager confirmed that the new phone will feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. This impressive feature will enable clear and impressive photos of distant objects, even in challenging lighting conditions like sunsets.
