DJI’s next compact drone, the Mini 5 Pro, isn’t supposed to launch until next week, but it has already appeared in the wild. Early unboxing videos, first flights, and retailer listings across Europe show the drone is stocked and ready, even as DJI remains silent on the official date.
DJI Mini 5 Pro spotted in retailers before launch

In Cyprus, one DJI dealer has already listed the Mini 5 Pro in three bundles. Pricing starts at €819 for the standard kit, with the Fly More Combo plus RC-N3 listed at €1,029 and the Fly More Combo plus RC2 at €1,159. Reports from Reddit and X suggest other retailers are similarly stocked, which makes a launch delay look unlikely.
First unboxing and flight test surface online
The first hands-on content has arrived via a dealer in India who uploaded a 15-minute video on YouTube. While it’s in Hindi, subtitles and shorter clips provide plenty of detail. The footage shows:
- Unboxing of the three packages
- First flight demonstrations
- Close-ups of the new 1-inch camera sensor
- LiDAR sensors in action
- Accessories, including ND filters and a carrying case
Images posted by other early buyers confirm the same packaging details, adding weight to the leaks.
Launch date still unclear
DJI has yet to release an official teaser for it. Leaker Jasper Ellens continues to suggest September 16 as the launch day, though other sources point to September 17 or 18. With drones already flying in customers’ hands, however, the exact date may matter less than DJI intends.
DJI Mini 5 Pro looks ready for takeoff
Between the unboxings, first flights, and retail listings, the DJI Mini 5 Pro is no longer a mystery product. Equipped with a 1-inch sensor, LiDAR technology, and multiple buying options, it’s already turning heads before its official debut. For drone fans, the sky may open sooner than DJI had planned.
