Microsoft has issued another warning to Windows 10 users. The company reminded them that update support for the operating system will end on October 14, 2025, and advised them to upgrade to Windows 11. After this date, the 22H2 version of Windows 10 (Home, Pro, Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise) will be discontinued.
Windows 10 is officially discontinued
It has also been announced that support for Windows 10 2015 LTSB and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2015 will also be discontinued. Users of these versions will not receive any new updates to address security issues starting October 14.

Despite frequent warnings from Microsoft, many Windows 10 users have avoided upgrading due to reasons such as habit or an inability to adapt to Windows 11. In response, the company, responding to user requests, launched a program called Extended Security Updates (ESU).
This program ensures that Windows 10 receives security updates after October 14, 2025. However, ESU does not add new features to the operating system.
The ESU program will provide critical security updates to ensure system security during the transition to Windows 11. Participation in this program is available for a fee. It is also available for free with cloud synchronization. However, it is emphasized that the program is not indefinite.
