South Korean tech giant LG has added two new models to its Xboom headphone family. The new wireless earbuds, which will go on sale this month, are called Xboom Buds Plus and Xboom Buds Lite. The announced Buds Plus stand out with their advanced sound technologies, while the Buds Lite focuses on long battery life.
New Xboom models are coming
The Buds Plus, the advanced model in the series, adjusts the sound profile in real time with adaptive EQ support. This ensures sound quality remains intact regardless of how the headphones are positioned.

The headphones also feature active noise cancellation (ANC), a triple-microphone system, and a dedicated charging case with a UV light that automatically disinfects the earbuds for hygiene. Another unique feature of the case is its ability to be used as a Bluetooth transmitter.
This allows for wireless connection to external devices such as in-flight entertainment systems. The Buds Plus offer up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge and a total of 30 hours with the case. Wireless charging is also available.
The more affordable model in the family, the Buds Lite, stands out with its continuous use time of up to 11.5 hours. With the charging case, the total battery life is up to 35 hours. This model lacks ANC support but features a more basic design than the Plus version.
Users can choose from four different EQ modes and the device comes with different ear tips to accommodate different ear canal sizes.
LG hasn’t announced the price of the new earbuds. However, considering the original Xboom Buds, which launched at $109 at the beginning of the year, the Buds Plus are more expensive, while the Buds Lite are more affordable. The company isn’t limiting its Xboom brand to headphones, and it continues to expand the lineup with the speakers it announced at CES 2025.
