While this year’s new iPhones have just been released, new information about next year’s iPhone lineup has already begun to leak. Renowned Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has shared some details about the all-new foldable iPhone, expected to launch next year. This information includes key details such as the phone’s design, price, and manufacturing location.
Foldable iPhone Could Be Similar to the Air
According to Gurman, the foldable iPhone can be described as “imagine two iPhone Airs standing side by side.” If these claims are true, the device is said to be an extremely thin and engineering marvel. This rumor supports speculation that Apple developed the iPhone Air as a testbed for a future foldable iPhone. The device’s body is also said to be made of titanium.

Regarding production, Gurman states that, according to what he’s heard, Apple will manufacture this foldable iPhone in China. While there have been recent reports that Apple will launch foldable iPhone production in India, Gurman cautiously states that “at least some of it will be manufactured in China.”
According to Gurman, the foldable iPhone will likely cost over $2,000. Previous rumors have also supported this price point, suggesting the device will cost between $2,100 and $2,300.
Regarding the release timing, the iPhone Fold is expected to launch in the fall of next year, alongside the iPhone 18 series. However, like the iPhone X’s launch in 2017, the release date for this all-new model could be pushed back to October or November. However, the device’s launch is almost certainly slated for September 2026.
