MediaTek has officially announced the Dimensity 9500, its new flagship chipset poised to take the smartphone market to the next level. Built on TSMC’s most advanced 3nm ‘N3P’ process technology, this new beast delivers groundbreaking performance and efficiency thanks to ARM’s next-generation C1 core architecture, making it a direct competitor to Apple’s A19 Pro processor in the Android world.
MediaTek Dimensity 9500 with Next-Generation ARM C1 Cores
The Dimensity 9500 delivers up to a 32% increase in single-core performance compared to its predecessor, the 9400, while reducing peak power consumption by 37%, achieving incredible efficiency. Continuing its “all-core performance” philosophy, the chipset features an 8-core architecture configured as follows:

- 3 x ARM C1-Premium (3.50 GHz)
- 4 x ARM C1-Pro (2.70 GHz)
According to Geekbench 6 scores shared by MediaTek, the Dimensity 9500 scores 4,007 in the single-core and 11,217 in the multi-core. These results put the chipset in the same league as the Apple A19 Pro in performance, ushering in a new era for Android flagships.
Gaming and Graphics Power: Promising a PC-Quality Experience
The Dimensity 9500 is equipped with the ARM Mali-G1 Ultra graphics processor, taking gaming performance to a whole new level. Boasting twice as many ray tracing cores as the previous generation, this GPU delivers up to 119% faster ray tracing performance. This means much more realistic lighting and reflections in mobile games. With a 33% performance increase and a 42% power efficiency improvement, a smooth 120 FPS gaming experience is becoming the standard. Furthermore, support for Unreal Engine 5.5+ paves the way for PC-quality AAA games to come to mobile devices in the future.
New Standards in Artificial Intelligence and Connectivity Technologies
The new NPU 990 (Neural Processing Unit) integrated into the chipset runs 111% faster thanks to MediaTek’s second-generation generative AI engine. This unit can produce high-quality visuals at 4K resolution with 40% less power consumption and perform AI operations at record speeds.
On the connectivity front, the new 5G modem offers download speeds of up to 7.4 Gbps, while AI-enabled UltraSave technology provides an additional 10% power savings.
Enhanced Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AI-GNSS technologies also offer features such as faster file transfers, wider audio range, and near-instant location detection. With this comprehensive package, the Dimensity 9500 is poised to redefine the power and capabilities of next-generation Android phones.
