Google Maps is eliminating blurring in satellite view for users in Turkey. This long-standing issue was linked to national security and privacy concerns. Now, the satellite view of Turkey’s map can be clearly displayed without needing to change the language or country settings.
Google Maps clarifies satellite view
Electric vehicle users, especially those using Tesla and TOGG, used to have to change their region settings to get a clear satellite view. Google Maps has put an end to this criticism. The practice, which has been in place since 2015, has been changed this week.

Users now have clear satellite view in Google Maps without needing to change their country or language settings. However, the blurring of critical locations such as military installations and the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) continues.
This significant change provides significant convenience for drivers who use their navigation systems more efficiently and anyone who needs detailed map data. The update is also expected to offer new opportunities, especially for professional use, researchers conducting geographic analysis, and urban planners.
