Nintendo Switch emulator Eden removed from the store
Earlier this month, a notable development occurred in the Android ecosystem, with the release of the Eden Emulator on the Google Play Store. Eden, a fork of the popular Yuzu Emulator for Nintendo Switch, was released to all users on September 12th. However, this quest didn’t last long. The app was removed from the Play Store just two weeks later.

On September 13th, the developers confirmed that the listed version was officially theirs. However, this version was an older version. The developers stated that a version 0.0.3 was also in the works, pending Play Store approval. However, as of today, the link to the Eden Emulator on the Play Store is not working.
The reason for the removal is not yet clear. Whether Google removed the app from the list by its own decision, or whether the developers withdrew it under pressure, is unknown. Furthermore, the Play Store page for the developer account, Utopia LLC, is currently inaccessible.
An interesting detail is that the Internet Archive recorded the Eden Emulator page on the Play Store live on September 16th. This confirms that the app will be available on the store for a while.
No official announcement has been made yet. However, for those who want to access the Eden Emulator, the only option is to download the v0.0.3 APK file directly from the project’s GitHub page and manually install it on their Android devices.
