The Sound 2 Max is equipped with a professional-grade three-way acoustic system. The speaker includes two 4-inch 30W woofers, one 4-inch 30W midrange driver, and one 1.5-inch 10W tweeter.

Xiaomi uses a symmetrical MTM (Mid-Tweeter-Mid) layout with coaxial mid-high drivers for better sound integration and clarity. The device offers a frequency response range of 47 Hz to 22 kHz and reaches a maximum sound pressure level of 101 dB SPL.
Xiaomi has also equipped the Sound 2 Max with an audio engine equipped with classic, vocal, and professional modes. This engine also offers six-level EQ adjustments for treble, midrange, and bass.
The speaker allows users to pair two speakers for a stereo listening experience or connect four speakers for a 4.0 wireless surround sound setup. When used with the optional Xiaomi wireless audio connector, it offers low latency down to 64ms and Dolby Audio decoding support.
The speaker, featuring a minimalist Bauhaus-style, one-piece die-cast aluminum design, comes in pure white. The speaker’s front panel features interchangeable magnetic faceplates in wood, fabric, or metal.
Xiaomi also offers an optional pre-wired metal stand and a full-color linear ambient light bar. Connectivity includes support for Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, RCA analog input, and USB Type-C digital input. The device is powered by a 24V/5A power adapter and weighs 8kg.
The product also integrates with Xiaomi HyperOS and includes the built-in Super XiaoAi voice assistant. The price of the Xiaomi Sound 2 Max is set at 1999 yuan (about $280).
