Motorola, a Lenovo-owned brand, has officially confirmed the imminent release of its new smartphone, the Moto X70 Air. The device will launch in China at the end of October. The first teaser image highlights the upcoming model’s most striking features. Here are the details and specifications.
The Moto X70 Air will stand out with its thinness and lightness
The first poster released for the Moto X70 Air shows Motorola emphasizing two key points with this device: an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered experience and a thin, lightweight body. The official poster shows the volume and power buttons on the right edge of the phone. While the rear camera sensors are not yet fully visible, it is expected to house at least two camera sensors.

This announcement comes at a time when the iPhone 17 Air is attracting attention with its 5.6 mm thickness and 165 grams weight. While Motorola hasn’t yet released the X70 Air’s dimensions, the first images suggest it has a rather sleek profile. The company hasn’t yet released the device’s exact specifications, sparking curiosity in the tech world.
While the Moto X70 Air’s slim and lightweight profile is being highlighted, a Motorola device with model number XT2533-4 recently appeared on China’s TENAA database. This model’s specifications contradict the X70 Air’s implied sleek design.
Due to these significant differences, leakers are speculating that the XT2533-4 could be the anticipated Moto G36 5G. Whether the Moto X70 Air will truly feature an ultra-thin design with the “Air” moniker, or whether it will balance it with a powerful battery and hardware, will become clear at the official launch in late October.
