Google is updating its logo across its products and services after more than a decade. According to an announcement Monday, the company’s new company-wide logo is a gradient “G.”
The Google logo is undergoing a minor change
This new design first appeared in the Google app on Android and iOS in May. It will soon appear on all of the company’s platforms, marking Google’s first major logo change in a decade.

Google had previously separated the red, yellow, green, and blue colors from its colorful “G” logo introduced in 2015. In the new logo, all these colors blend together, and the four colors become brighter. This design also aligns with Google’s gradient Gemini logo. The company states that this change reflects its “evolution in the age of Artificial Intelligence.”
In addition to the new “G” logo, Google has also quietly updated the Google Home logo to reflect the new look. Google states that the design will begin to roll out more widely “in the coming months.”
This means the gradient look will soon start appearing in its other apps, including Gmail, Drive, Meet, and Calendar. The company has also updated its visual identity in line with this shift to artificial intelligence.
