Chinese electric car manufacturer Leapmotor’s latest model, the C10 AWD, is preparing to debut in Europe at the Auto Zurich Motor Show, which will take place from October 30 to November 2, 2025. This dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle is built on a high-tech 800-volt platform. Leapmotor aims to attract European buyers with this combination of power and technology.
Tesla Model Y Takes on Performance
Leapmotor states that it designed the C10 AWD for both “tech-savvy” and “performance-oriented” drivers. However, the company is also targeting eco-conscious families and professionals, emphasizing the vehicle’s safety, smart features, and ample cargo space for this audience.

The C10 AWD is undeniably a fast SUV. The 800-volt system feeds two electric motors providing all-wheel drive, and Leapmotor claims a peak power output of 598 horsepower. This power, coupled with 720 Nm of torque, delivers the instantaneous acceleration renowned for electric cars. All this hardware allows the C10 AWD to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds.
These figures are quite similar to the specifications of the new Tesla Model Y Performance, boasting 627 horsepower, 741 Nm of torque, and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds. It’s easy to understand which competitor the similarly sized C10 is targeting.
The Leapmotor C10 AWD uses an 81.9 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery. Its 800-volt architecture is expected to charge very quickly, and the company claims the battery will charge from 30% to 80% in 22 minutes when connected to a DC fast charger. This isn’t the “revolutionary” result expected.
The C10’s peak charging power, however, proved to be a somewhat disappointing 180 kW. Tesla, with its older 400 V architecture, supports speeds of up to 250 kW and can charge the battery in approximately the same amount of time. Leapmotor claims that the system operates well even in freezing temperatures without the need to preheat the battery. This is a feature drivers in cold climates will certainly appreciate.

The C10’s interior focuses on technology and spaciousness. A large 14.6-inch infotainment screen with 2K resolution dominates the dashboard. The driver is accompanied by a dedicated 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for speed and range information. Music lovers will enjoy the 840-watt, 12-speaker sound system.
A large panoramic glass roof makes the cabin feel open and spacious, while the family-oriented SUV offers up to 1,410 liters of cargo space, making it practical for travel and shopping. Leapmotor also states that it features an “AI Smart Electric Drive” system that can be upgraded throughout the vehicle’s lifespan.
Leapmotor is unveiling the C10 AWD on a grand stage at the 39th Auto Zurich, one of Europe’s major trade fairs. While the company has shared numerous details about its performance and features, it hasn’t yet announced pricing for its new electric SUV.
