Why did twitter.com become x.com?

The rebranding process, which began after Elon Musk took over the platform, is now complete. For a long time, users accessing twitter.com were automatically redirected to x.com.

However, despite this redirection, users still saw twitter.com in their browser’s address bar. This has now completely changed.

X has started displaying a new notification to users regarding the issue. The platform published a pop-up message stating, “We are pleased to announce that all our core systems have been moved to the x.com domain.”

This latest change means that twitter.com will no longer appear in the browser bar. Elon Musk sees this step as a key part of his vision to make X an “everything app.”
