The first official hints about the Galaxy S26’s features came during Samsung’s Q3 2025 earnings call. Samsung Mobile Experience Division Vice President Daniel Araujo stated that the new flagship series will offer revolutionary innovations.
Officially Announced Galaxy S26 Features
According to statements by Daniel Araujo, the Galaxy S26 series will revolutionize the user experience. Confirmed Galaxy S26 features include next-generation user-centric AI, a second-generation custom application processor (AP), and new camera sensors.

The “second-generation custom AP” Araujo mentioned immediately brought to mind the Exynos 2600, expected to be Samsung’s first 2nm chip. However, previous reports claimed the series would also utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This suggests the dual-chip strategy will continue. However, Araujo later stated that “AP evaluation is still ongoing,” leaving open the possibility that this custom chip could be a Snapdragon branded “For Galaxy.”
Samsung won’t just focus on the S26 series in 2026. The company also aims to refresh its foldable phone lineup. It also plans to expand health-focused AI features for its Galaxy Watch models and expand its TWS earbuds lineup with new products.
The company is pleased with the demand for flagship phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, it warned that expected price increases for key components like memory could push phone prices higher in the future.
