Design details and some confirmed features of Realme’s flagship GT 8 Pro have been shared in detail by the company ahead of its global launch. Announced in China last month, the phone is particularly notable for its removable camera module system and will soon be available internationally.
Realme GT 8 Pro surprises with its camera module
The phone’s most striking feature is its camera bump, which can be removed and replaced with various styles. Users achieve a clean look with the pre-installed circular module that comes in the box.

Removing this circular module reveals a hidden, non-removable, metallic robot-like design. A square module is also included in the box.
This gives users a total of three different design options right out of the box. In addition to offering top-notch camera modules, Realme also allows tech-savvy users to create their own unique 3D-printed designs.
Design-wise, the device stands out with its gently rounded edges and flat metal frame. Two color options are available: The white model has a fiberglass back, while the blue “Urban Blue” finish uses a recycled leather-like surface.
The Urban Blue finish stands out for its textured surface, which is both fingerprint-resistant and enhances grip. The company claims to have used recycled materials and environmentally friendly paints in this model. The back panel’s texture is said to be resistant to minor scratches. The phone is 8.2 mm thick and weighs approximately 220 grams.
In addition to its impressive design features, Realme confirmed that the global version of the GT 8 Pro will share the same core hardware as the Chinese model.
Confirmed specifications include the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 2K resolution display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 7000mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. It has also been confirmed that the phone will come with the Realme UI 7.0 user interface. Realme has not yet announced the exact date for the global launch of this flagship phone.
