Xiaomi 14 Ultra users have been eagerly awaiting the HyperOS 3 update (based on Android 16), which is poised to finally reach global devices this month. After weeks of silence, the global build has reportedly passed final checks and is ready for distribution. Here are the details.
Update for Xiaomi 14 Ultra
According to information shared by leakster Erencan Yılmaz, the stable global ROM, OS3.0.1.0.WNAMIXM, has successfully passed final testing. The “MIXM” in its code confirms that the update is definitely intended for the international model. This marks a rare victory for global users, as this time, the update won’t be delayed until after the Chinese launch.

According to the leak, Xiaomi plans to begin rolling out the update to users towards the end of November. Mi Pilot users are expected to get access to the update a few days early, followed by a widespread OTA (over-the-air) rollout. Devices in China are expected to receive their own builds at any time, but the slight difference between regions is welcome news for Xiaomi owners globally.
HyperOS 3 isn’t just a visual overhaul. Early testers in China report significant system and performance improvements:
- Smooth Animations: Much smoother system-wide animations and a revamped control center elevate the user experience.
- Improved Memory Management: Improvements in memory management have reportedly eliminated occasional random stutters in heavy apps.
- Battery Life Improvement: The most notable improvement is battery life. Significant productivity gains have been observed, particularly when using the camera or running the phone at a 120Hz refresh rate. Some users are reporting up to two hours of additional screen time.
HyperOS 3 also offers all the privacy and security features of Android 16, helping the Xiaomi 14 Ultra stay current as it enters 2026. HyperOS 3 looks to be the most polished software package the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has seen since its launch, and it’s rolling out to users just in time for the holiday season.
