The new Toyota Hilux, a legendary name in the pickup truck market, has been officially unveiled in Thailand. Now in its ninth generation, the vehicle is attracting significant attention with its modern design and electric version. Thailand will be the main hub for the model’s production and global distribution.
New Toyota Hilux Engine Options
The new model is built on Toyota’s “IMV 0” platform. This platform is closely related to the brand’s modern TNGA (specifically, TNGA-F) infrastructure. The engine options are quite extensive. In addition to conventional diesel engines, a mild-hybrid diesel option is now available.

The ninth-generation Hilux features a much more modern and muscular design than before. Both the front and rear of the vehicle have been completely redesigned. The interior also features a major technological leap forward, now featuring a fully digital driver instrument cluster and a large central touchscreen multimedia display.
The biggest surprise of the unveiling was the all-electric “Hilux BEV.” The production version of this eco-friendly model, previously shown as a concept, has been unveiled for the first time. This move will significantly boost Toyota’s competition in the electric pickup truck market.
The model, which will be manufactured in Thailand and shipped to numerous markets, is also expected to arrive in Turkey. According to the information shared, the new Hilux is expected to hit Turkish roads in 2025.
