PlayStation 5 Sales Announced
According to the released data, the console’s sales performance in the last quarter reached 3.9 million units. This figure represents a slight increase of 0.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

This total sales figure for the PS5 officially surpasses the 84 million units sold for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console and nearly doubles the 53 million sales of the Xbox One. Sony states that the PS5 has maintained a stable sales performance despite production challenges during the pandemic.
The financial report also reveals the growth in the PlayStation ecosystem’s user base. According to the company’s statement, the number of monthly active users on PlayStation Online has surpassed 119 million.
With this high performance, the PS5 is rapidly becoming one of Sony’s most successful consoles. The report also confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima, released in October, sold 3.3 million units. Sony also announced that it is preparing for the release of several major games as the PS5 nears its end, including Naughty Dog’s new game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Marvel’s Wolverine, and the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6.
