The end of November is turning into a busy launch season for the mobile technology world. Following Huawei and OnePlus, Honor has now officially announced the launch date for its new flagship series. The company will hold its highly anticipated Honor 500 series launch event in China.
Honor 500 series launch event begins on November 24
According to an official statement from Honor, the new Honor 500 series launch event will begin in China on November 24 at 7:30 PM local time. The company confirmed that the series will include two models: the Honor 500 and the Honor 500 Pro. Honor has already revealed the basic design of both models: a horizontal camera module, similar to the iPhone Air, paired with a flat rear panel.

Honor hasn’t yet released full specifications, but previous reports have hinted at the Pro model. The Honor 500 Pro is expected to feature a 6.55-inch display with a 2736×1264 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is rumored to run on Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Up to 16GB of RAM and a massive 1TB of storage are also available, though the base model is expected to start with 12GB/256GB.
The Pro model will be powered by a massive 8000mAh silicon battery, supported by 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the camera front, Honor is aiming to include a 200MP main sensor. The phone is also expected to feature a 64MP periscope camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and Honor’s own C1+ RF chip for improved signal performance. Both phones are rumored to run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 out of the box.
Like the Pro model, the standard Honor 500 will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may feature a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens on the back. This model is rumored to run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a more stripped-down version of Qualcomm’s flagship processor. The standard model will also come with an 8000mAh battery and support for 80W wired charging, though wireless charging may remain exclusive to the Pro. Dual stereo speakers and an IP68/IP69/IP69K durability rating are also expected.
