Spotify is making things easier for users looking to switch from its competitors. With the new update, the Spotify playlist transfer feature is integrated directly into the mobile app. You’ll no longer need to mess with other apps.
How to transfer a playlist on Spotify?
The company has partnered with the popular service TuneMyMusic for this process. Users can start the process by clicking a new link in the Library tab. This way, you can transfer your playlists without opening a browser or navigating external sites. Spotify is specifically aiming to attract YouTube Music users to the platform with this strategic move.
The platform has recently faced some protests and user churn due to founder Daniel Ek. With this practical feature, the company is looking to start fresh. Those who have accumulated years of library on Tidal or Apple Music can now easily switch without losing data.
The “Import your music” option is located at the bottom of the app’s “My Library” tab. Clicking it opens an in-app window. Simply connect your accounts and select your playlists. This built-in tool also avoids the annoying song transfer limits of third-party apps.
