Nothing OS 4.0 (Android 16) Update Schedule Announced!

The devices and dates that will receive the Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 update, developed by Nothing, have been announced.

Nothing recently began rolling out its latest Android 16-based interface, Nothing OS 4.0. After the company’s first flagship phone, the Nothing Phone (3), was the first to receive the update, a clearer timeline has been set for when the remaining devices will receive it.

Nothing has announced a new release schedule, which doesn’t include specific dates but still provides a roadmap. According to this schedule, the remaining Nothing phones (except the Nothing Phone 1) will receive the Android 16 update in the coming weeks, while CMF phones will join the party by the end of the year. The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is the last model scheduled to receive the update in early 2026.

The estimated schedule, based on the official announcement, is as follows:

    Device NameEstimated Delivery Time
    Nothing Phone (3a)Next 1-2 weeks
Nothing Phone (3a) ProNext 1-2 weeks
    Nothing Phone (2)Next 1-2 weeks
    Nothing Phone (2a)Next 1-2 weeks
CMF Phone (2) Prosecond half of December
CMF Phone (1)second half of December
    Nothing Phone (3a) LiteJanuary 2026

If your Nothing phone is listed, make sure there are no other pending updates on your device. To check for updates, go to Settings > System > System Updates.

Also, because Nothing OS 4.0 is a major update, the download size can range from approximately 3 to 5 GB. Therefore, before downloading the update, make sure your device has sufficient storage and your battery level is at least 40% before pressing the install button.

While Nothing began the Android 16 rollout later than its competitors, as a brand known for its small product portfolio and rapid rollout of major updates, it aims to be one of the fastest to complete this process.
