Chinese automaker Chery unveiled the A9, the first all-electric car from its Fulwin sub-brand, at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The fastback-designed A9 was showcased at the show as a near-production version. The model’s design draws strong inspiration from the Fulwin E05 concept, previously shown at the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show.
Chery Fulwin A9 unveiled
The new Fulwin A9, unveiled in Guangzhou, retains many design elements familiar from the E05. Retained design details include the fastback silhouette, semi-concealed door handles, large wheels, and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor. While the concept model offered two variants: extended-range (EREV) and fully electric, the A9 showcased at the show was presented as a pure electric version.

Chinese media outlets report that plug-in hybrid or extended-range (extended-range) versions of the A9 may also be planned. This explains Chery’s previously stated 2,500-kilometer combined range claim. This high range figure is impossible to achieve with an all-electric version.
Under the hood, the A9 features the CDC adaptive suspension system. The suspension setup features double wishbones at the front and a five-link structure at the rear. No official price announcement was made at the show.
