The South Korean tech giant is preparing for a move that will shake up the mobile world. According to the latest leaks, the highly anticipated Samsung tri-fold phone will be available at a much more competitive price tag than its rival Huawei. The company aims to solidify its leadership in the foldable phone market with this strategy.
Samsung’s Tri-fold Phone Price Could Surprise
Reliable leaks from Korean sources indicate that the new device will have a starting price of approximately 3.6 million won in its home country. This figure equates to an average of $2,447 at current exchange rates. Considering previous estimates of $3,000, this pricing is quite encouraging for consumers.

Samsung’s aggressive pricing puts it directly in competition with the Huawei Mate XT. Currently the only commercially available tri-fold phone, the Mate XT, has a price tag of approximately $2,520. Samsung’s entry at a lower price point is likely to take the competition to a whole new level.
The new model’s design is said to feature an inward-folding “G-shaped” structure. This special design protects the delicate OLED panel, while the exterior will house a 6.5-inch cover display. When fully opened, the device will offer users a massive 10-inch workspace.
Samsung isn’t shy about the hardware either. The device is expected to be powered by a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite series processor. High-end features like a 200-megapixel main camera, 100x zoom, and a titanium frame will also be included. The device is rumored to house three separate batteries to support the three-piece design.
