The Honor Magic 8 Pro has been unveiled globally!
Honor has begun shipping its flagship model, the Magic 8 Pro, to global markets after launching it in China last month. One of the first devices to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the phone offers nearly identical specifications to the Chinese version, with the exception of battery capacity and wired charging speed.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Massive Battery Power!
The global Magic 8 Pro comes with a 7,100 mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging. Wireless charging speeds remain at 80W. In contrast, the Chinese model features a 7,200 mAh battery and supports 120W wired charging. Aside from these minor differences, all other specifications for both variants are identical.
The Magic 8 Pro runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. The device features a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (1,256 x 2,808 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor claims the display’s peak HDR brightness can reach up to 6,000 nits. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and Adreno 840 GPU, the phone is available with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
The rear camera setup features three sensors:
- A 200-megapixel (1/1.4-inch sensor) telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
- A 50-megapixel (1/1.3-inch sensor) main camera with CIPA 5.5 stabilization.
- A 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
- On the front, there’s a 50-megapixel selfie camera and a 3D depth sensor for security.
The device is rated for dust and water resistance of IP68, IP69, and IP69K. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, comprehensive navigation support (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou), and NFC. The phone, which also features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security, measures 161.15 x 75 x 8.32 mm and weighs 219 grams.
The phone is available in Black, Sunrise Gold, and Sky Cyan. Pre-orders are now available through Honor’s website and select retailers, with shipments starting on December 5th. Considering the Magic 7 Pro is already on sale in Turkey, the Magic 8 Pro will also be available in Turkey soon.
