Realme is preparing to launch the Realme 16 smartphone series in China. A recent TENAA listing revealed that the Realme 16 Pro will feature a 200-megapixel main camera. Now, new information from leaker Smart Pikachu suggests that the Redmi Note 16 series will also feature a 200-megapixel camera.
200MP Camera Expands to Mid-Segment
According to the leak in question, both Realme and Redmi are testing mid-segment phones with a 200-megapixel main camera. The Redmi Note 16 label used by the source strongly suggests that this generation will feature a 200-megapixel camera. However, this camera is not expected on the standard model, but rather on the Note 16 Pro+ and Note 16 Pro versions.

The Realme 16 Pro is said to feature a 200-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual camera setup. The Realme 16 Pro+ is expected to retain the same camera hardware but also feature a periscope telephoto camera.
Since the Redmi Note 15 series was announced in August of this year, the Note 16 series is likely to be unveiled in the same month next year (August 2026). With the launch still a long way off, more details about the Note 16 series are expected to emerge in the coming months. Initial reports suggest the Pro models may feature a 1.5K OLED flat screen and a 7,500mAh battery.
As for the Realme 16 series, TENAA certification suggests the device could be official at the end of this month or in January 2026. The series is also expected to reach the global market in January 2026.
