Rockstar Games has released a new collection of official merchandise for its fans as the holiday shopping season approaches. The company offered a wide selection of t-shirts, candles, badges, and even a doormat. However, the much-anticipated surprise announcement about GTA 6, the much-anticipated new release in the tech and gaming world, was unfortunately not included in this package. Rockstar unveiled its new gear in an announcement on its official website.
Rockstar Makes Controversial Mop Move as GTA 6 Delays
A standout piece in the collection is the “Varsity Collection” sweatshirt series. Available in three colors: burgundy, black, and navy blue, these items offer a stylish look with the Rockstar Games logo embroidered with varsity yellow stitching. Other notable pieces from the series include t-shirts featuring iconic screenshots from classic games like GTA 3, GTA 4, GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, Manhunt, and Bully.

However, the doormat has been the most controversial item of all. Players weren’t expecting to get their hands on a Rockstar doormat before the studio’s long-awaited sequel. With reports of the game’s release being pushed back another six months to November 19, 2026, the availability of this 100% coconut fiber doormat is being interpreted as a bitter irony that makes the wait even more difficult.
The doormat’s design also features some striking details. Just above the Rockstar logo, the product features the slogan “Say Sorry, Be Nice.” This slogan is known for being used by protesters due to recently laid-off employees and anti-union allegations leveled against the company. This suggests that the doormat carries more meaning than just a household item.
What are your thoughts on Rockstar’s new collection and doormat initiative, and what are your thoughts on the release of such products while we wait for GTA 6?
