OnePlus is charging ahead with its new Turbo smartphone series. The company just confirmed that battery life will take center stage, aiming to set a new benchmark for endurance in the segment.

OnePlus President Louis Lee has officially stated that battery capacity will be a key pillar of the Turbo lineup. That’s a bold move, considering the current battery king in the OnePlus family the Ace 6T already packs an 8,300mAh cell.

Now, OnePlus is going even bigger. Though the company stopped short of disclosing exact specs, Lee made it clear: the Turbo phones will outdo the Ace 6T. That puts expectations squarely above the 8,300mAh mark, and possibly much higher.

This isn’t just about numbers. OnePlus wants the Turbo series to become the reference point for battery life. That’s a big claim in a market packed with power-hungry hardware and software. But if true, it could shift user expectations in 2026 and beyond.

Early rumors suggest two models will debut in the Turbo series. One might include an overclocked Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, promising more performance but also needing serious power support. That battery bump suddenly makes a lot more sense.

Here’s what’s been teased or rumored so far:

    • Battery capacity expected to top 9,000mAh
    • Two launch models in the series
    • One model may feature overclocked Snapdragon 8s Gen 4
    • Possible ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
    • Launch tipped for January 2026

The timing of this reveal is no accident. OnePlus recently dropped the OnePlus 15R and the Pad Go 2 globally, but the Turbo series feels different. This isn’t just another phone, it’s a shot at dominance in a very specific space.

Even so, it’s worth keeping expectations in check until the full spec sheet lands. But if OnePlus delivers, the Turbo might just become the phone you forget to charge overnight and still make it to sunset.
