Oppo has made a new move to intensify competition in the tablet market and officially introduced the highly anticipated Oppo Pad Air 5. Launched in the Chinese market, the device stands out particularly for its screen technologies and powerful battery capacity. Described as a twin of the OnePlus Pad Go 2, this new tablet is aimed at those seeking affordable performance.
Huge screen and slim design are noteworthy
The new model’s strongest point is undoubtedly its display capabilities. The device features a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a 2800×1980 pixel resolution. This panel offers users a 120Hz refresh rate, promising an extremely smooth experience. Furthermore, the screen, which can reach a peak brightness of 900 nits, provides clear viewing even in sunlight. At only 6.83 millimeters thick, the tablet boasts a stylish and durable metal body.

The tablet doesn’t leave anything to chance in terms of performance. At its heart is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor. This eight-core processor, reaching speeds of 2.5GHz, is accompanied by LPDDR5X RAM technology and UFS 3.1 storage. Power is supplied by a massive 10,050 mAh battery. Thanks to 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support, this large battery can be charged quickly. The device comes with the Android-based ColorOS 16 operating system out of the box.
The Oppo Pad Air 5 has been released in colors such as Space Gray and Starlight Pink. The entry-level model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 1,899 Yuan, approximately $270. For those who want higher-end specifications, a version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is sold for 2,499 Yuan. Models with a special Soft Light anti-reflective screen are also available.
