Logitech has unveiled the G304 X Lightspeed, a refined take on its popular budget gaming mouse. While the original G304 was already well-liked for its balance of value and performance, the new X version sheds nearly half the weight, making it a serious contender among ultralight mice.
Logitech G304 X Lightspeed makes a bold weight cut
The new G304 X clocks in at just over 2 ounces about 42% lighter than the original model. That change puts it directly in competition with other featherweight options in the esports space. Interestingly, the overall shell design remains nearly untouched, maintaining the same contours and layout that fans of the original will recognize.
The reduced weight is partly thanks to a smaller battery, which cuts battery life from 250 hours down to 106 hours. That’s still plenty for long gaming sessions, and now, charging is easier with a USB-C port instead of the old micro-USB connection.

Connectivity stays simple, but effective
Despite the upgrades, Bluetooth is still absent, meaning your only options are the 2.4GHz Lightspeed dongle or wired via USB-C. For most gamers, that’s not a dealbreaker, especially considering Lightspeed’s low-latency performance.
