Consumer electronics giant TCL has made a major splash at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, shaking up the tech world. The company’s new TCL CES 2026 innovations are leading the charge, featuring next-generation televisions that redefine display technology and a suite of AI-powered smart home solutions. In particular, the revolutionary SQD-Mini LED technology has received high praise from attendees.
TCL CES 2026 Innovations: A Leap in Display Tech
At the event, TCL held the global launch of its latest and most advanced display development: SQD-Mini LED technology. This new tech offers far more precise light control compared to traditional Mini LEDs, promising superior picture performance in both bright scenes and dark shadows. Furthermore, the company combines this technology with Super QLED and an Ultra Color Filter Panel to deliver higher brightness, improved color accuracy, and a longer lifespan.
The flagship product for this new technology is the world’s first SQD-Mini LED television, the TCL X11L. This model stands out with its impressive features:
- Peak Brightness: A stunning value of up to 10,000 nits for HDR content.
- Light Control: Up to 20,736 precise local dimming zones.
- Color Gamut: Support for 100% BT.2020 AllScene wide color gamut.
- Design: A sleek, virtually zero-border design with a thickness of about 2 cm.
- Audio: A high-end sound system developed by Bang & Olufsen.
Smarter Software with AI and Dolby Vision
TCL has made significant strides in software as well as hardware. The new television models come with Gemini integration for an enhanced Google TV experience. This allows users to benefit from more intuitive interactions and advanced search features in apps like Google Photos. Additionally, TCL introduced the next-generation Dolby Vision 2 standard, which offers content intelligence to take the viewing experience to the next level. This feature is planned to be rolled out to select models via OTA updates within 2026.

Beyond the Screen: TCL’s Expanding Ecosystem
TCL’s vision extends far beyond just televisions. The company showcased a broad portfolio of AI-powered smart home products at CES 2026. Products like the TCL FreshIN 3.0 Air Conditioner, GeniusFresh Refrigerator, and TCL AI SuperDrum washer-dryer support modern living by offering energy efficiency and ease of use. Also among the unveiled products were smart locks with biometric security and smart energy solutions aimed at reducing energy costs.
In the entertainment space, innovative products like the PlayCube Projector, which delivers cinema-quality images, and the world’s first modular AI-powered assistant robot, TCL AiMe, drew significant attention. TCL also announced its collaborations with premium brands such as Bang & Olufsen and BMW, and introduced the sustainable TCL ECORA™ material made from recycled materials.
